Hi!

I’m a data scientist and Master’s student in Statistical Science at Duke University, supported by the Duke full-tuition and the Vingroup Scholarships. I have 3+ years of experience in data science and statistical modeling, with roles as a TA, a member of the Graduate Consultative Committee (GCC), and a member of American Statistical Association (ASA).

My work in data science focuses on solving impactful real-world problems with data and statistics. During my summer internship at the Duke University School of Medicine, I led the development of an end-to-end machine-learning pipeline to optimize antibody production for people living with HIV/AIDS. Now, I’m collaborating with a chess grandmaster as an AI developer to create a generative AI-powered Chess Coach that delivers personalized post-game analysis and strategic insights.

Before Duke, I was a research assistant at the Vietnam Institute of Mathematics, where I focused on statistical inference and earned a prestigious research grant from VinIF Vietnam. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Hanoi National University of Education and spent a few years teaching university-level statistics and calculus—an experience that sparked my passion for helping others grow their skills.

On the technical side, I’m skilled in Python, R, and SQL. My interests lie in predictive modeling, hierarchical models, and Bayesian inference.

When I’m not working, you can find me recharging with board games, books, DIY projects, yoga, or trying out new creations.

I’d love to connect and chat about statistics, data science, AI, or anything in between! If you’re interested, please check out my projects here.
